If you've been looking for a place to practice your dramaturgical skills, hone your directing philosophy, or talk about translating concepts to action on stage, I'd love to have you in one of my summer classes, taught online through Live Arts Theater! Tuition is $65 for 6 classes (July 14-August 18).
Dramaturgy for Directors
This class offered via Zoom is for directors and playwrights at any stage in their artistic career to hone their play analysis and research skills and practice applying them to various aspects of theater directing. Through reading and discussing approaches to several contemporary plays, participants will develop personal methods for script analysis and research, while also reflecting on their distinctive aesthetic and strengths as theater directors.

Directing Lab for Teens (16+)
In this class, offered via Zoom, teens will learn how to read plays like a theater director, with an eye for big ideas and structures, as well as casting and design. Students will work with contemporary plays, practicing script analysis, concept development, and communicating with actors. We will also talk about how directors can contribute to ongoing equity work in the theater. Time: Tuesdays, 5pm to 6pm Dates: 7/14 to 8/18, 6 class sessions Tuition: $65 4-10 participants, Ages 16+
