Flash Play Festival

at the

International Conference of the Fantastic in the Arts

directed by Kelli Shermeyer and Carrie J. Cole

 2016-2019

Five new 10-minute plays.  One rehearsal. One night only.

From 2016-2019, I've worked with Dr. Carrie J. Cole (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) to produce an evening of new one acts written and performed by the authors and scholars of the International Association of the Fantastic in the Arts (sci-fi, fantasty, horror, video game studies, folklore, children's literature, and related fields). Many of these plays go on to be produced at other festivals (notably at Otherworld in Chicago). As part of this project I have directed the following new plays:

2019

A Brief History of the War with Venus by John Kessel

America's Stonehenge by Andy Duncan

2018

Faustus Financial Management by Sean Nixon

Perfect Mate by Jeanne Beckwith

Future Expense by Andy Duncan

2017

Dr. Wonderful Or: How I Learned How to Stop Worrying about the Tenure Track and Love the Cape by Michael Furlong

Prof by Andy Duncan
